Programs and Initiatives
ODA programming supports Ontario defence and dual-use companies through supplier readiness, industry convening, capability mapping, opportunity awareness, strategic collaboration, and Best Defence integration.
Program publication note: Programs marked “In Development” do not yet have confirmed dates, funding, or final details. ODA does not present under-review funding proposals as funded, and does not imply government funding has been awarded unless explicitly confirmed. The ODA Member Hub is now live for approved members — programs marked “Now Live” are already available there.
ODA Member Hub
The protected members’ area for approved ODA members, under development and launching in July 2026. It opens with a daily defence bulletin feed, the ODA Member Network, a searchable Membership Directory, Defence Intelligence, the SME Resource Navigator, and a member marketing kit — with more being added over time.
- Member dashboard & daily bulletins (opportunities, initiatives & news)
- Member Network — searchable map and cards of fellow members
- Membership Directory — a scannable list of every approved member
- Defence Intelligence — publications library & AI research assistant
- SME Resource Navigator — funding, procurement & compliance pathways
- Membership Kit — member badge, social template & Best Defence discount
01 — Defence Industrial Readiness Program
Practical programming to help Ontario defence and dual-use companies understand defence-market fit, procurement pathways, quality and security expectations, compliance considerations, proposal readiness, and supply-chain integration.
- Defence market fit and capability positioning
- Procurement pathways and opportunity capture
- Security, cyber, controlled goods, and export readiness
- Quality, traceability, manufacturing readiness, and delivery-at-pace
- Proposal defensibility, pricing, IP, ITBs, and prime integration
- TRL acceleration, testing, funding, and market activation
02 — Member Opportunity Signalling
ODA is working with Publicus.ai to launch a member-access procurement opportunity portal, which will be surfaced inside the ODA Member Hub.
The portal is intended to provide ODA members with a searchable source of defence-related RFPs, tenders, procurement opportunities, and related market intelligence — helping members stay current on relevant opportunities across defence and dual-use markets. Access to the portal will be available to ODA members.
Safeguard: Opportunity awareness does not guarantee eligibility, award, procurement preference, or bid success.
03 — Capability & Supplier Mapping
ODA is building structured ways to understand Ontario’s defence and dual-use capability base across regions, domains, certifications, readiness levels, and supply-chain roles. An initial version is live as the Member Network & Directory, and this work now extends into the Ontario Defence & Dual-Use Capability Atlas — an early, evidence-gated beta piloting with members.
- Capability area & domain
- Certifications & controlled goods status
- Cyber / security posture & export readiness
- Manufacturing capacity & technology readiness
- Region & interest in primes, government, exports, or programs
Capability Atlas (beta): 237 organizations and 249 capabilities profiled so far — each shown with an evidence badge (website-verified through to member-reported). Data is compiled from public and member sources and is still being verified; it is not an ODA endorsement. Members-only while in testing.
04 — Industry Forums
ODA convenes industry, primes, procurement-aware stakeholders, funders, workforce partners, and ecosystem organizations through practical forums, briefings, and buyer-driven engagement formats.
05 — Strategic Collaborator Framework
ODA works with aligned ecosystem organizations, associations, institutions, and regional partners on programming, referrals, member support, and Ontario-wide defence-industrial engagement.
Explore Partnerships06 — Best Defence Conference Integration
Best Defence is ODA’s official conference platform and supports member activation, event visibility, B2B/B2G engagement, sponsor pathways, and Ontario defence ecosystem convening.
Visit Best Defence07 — ODIS Alignment
