Become part of a network of organizations contributing to Ontario’s defence and dual-use ecosystem. Membership provides a structured way to engage with the association and be represented within the sector.
ODA Official Members
ODA Official Membership is available to businesses registered in Ontario that operate in the defence sector or in dual-use applications serving both civilian and defence markets. Fees are based on total employees worldwide per company.

Associate Members
Associate membership is available to academia; other associations; government entities; out-of-province agencies and companies; and international companies. It also includes Canadian companies not in the defence sector but exploring defence and security opportunities. Associate members do not have voting rights.

Voting rights
Voting rights apply to legally registered Ontario companies that produce goods and services in the defence and security sector in Ontario.
Firms, corporations, or divisions of corporations engaged in the business of defence and security and based in Canada but not registered in Ontario do not have voting rights.
Firms, corporations, or divisions of corporations located outside of Canada do not have voting rights.
Associate membership (academia; other associations; government entities; out-of-province agencies and companies; international companies; and Canadian companies not in the defence sector but exploring defence and security opportunities) does not carry voting rights.

ODA confirms the appropriate membership category for your organization.
Invoice and payment process
ODA issues an invoice for the applicable membership fee.

Your membership is activated and onboarding begins.

You receive an access code and instructions for the members-only ODA Member Hub.
Clear boundaries
ODA membership does not create procurement preference, supplier endorsement, guaranteed introductions, guaranteed speaking opportunities, access to confidential member lists, or guaranteed contract outcomes. ODA supports readiness, engagement, and ecosystem awareness; it does not control procurement decisions.
